So I live in a dog friendly apartment community in Washington State and during the winter people weren't picking up after their dogs.
Now that the snow has melted there are a ton of scattered piles of dog shit left all over the lawns.
Today, there was a notice posted on every door of every building in the complex reminding tenants of the $100 pet disposal fee if you are caught not picking up after your dog. Sounds reasonable, right?
In the final part of the notice, it reads that if the problem continues they will charge the entire building for a pet disposal fee if dog feces is found near the building.
My question is if this is even allowed or it is just a heavily worded threat. Some people in the building don't even have dogs and some people let their dogs go to the bathroom on the lawns of buildings they don't even live in.
I don't know. any advice is appreciated, I've been kind of upset about this all day.
