About two weeks ago, I built an office computer to use instead of my heavy gaming laptop. I initially didn't put a GPU in it. Today, I put a MSI 2080 into it. Everything on that front is working fine. My monitors are two LG 27MK400-B 1080p monitors. I initially had both of them hooked up to the motherboard, one by HDMI and one by D-SUB. Those are the only two ports the monitors have. My 2080 has 1 HDMI and 3 Display Ports. With past builds, I have been able to hook one monitor up to the GPU and another up to the motherboard without issue. Problem is, my monitors do not have a Display port. I hooked one monitor up to the GPU with an HDMI and the other monitor up to the motherboard with an HDMI. The monitor hooked up to the motherboard isn't detected. I restarted the computer, updated every driver for my motherboard, gpu and monitors. Windows is up to date. All that. I switched the HDMI for a D-SUB and hooked it to my motherboard, still isnt detected. Windows settings doesnt detect when I press detect, Nvidia control panel cant detect another monitor. In device manager, the only device showed under Display Adapters is my 2080. I ordered an HDMI to Display Port adapter so I can hook both monitors into my GPU. I believe that will fix it but I am a super impatient person. Is there any way I can still plug this monitor into my motherboard and have it work simultaneously with the one plugged into my 2080?
