Quick question here. Husband and I decided to separate at the end of September. Come mid October we got into an argument over me not doing what he wanted me to do. He called the landlady and told her that we were not together and I no longer lived there. I had just moved a few articles of clothes at this time as I couldn’t stay there when he wasn’t at work (night shift worker) because he would sexually assault me in my sleep. The landlady took his word and drew up a new lease and he change the locks. I have been told that I can sue for wrongful eviction. Is this true? If I can do that, who would the suit be against, husband, landlady, or both?
