I've received over 16 copyright violation emails from my internet provider in the past week because of my roommate pirating a game. Can I be held responsible for it?

I'm in MO. Title basically says it all. Last week I got an email for a copyright violation (the internet is under my name) saying that they were alerted that someone downloaded Fallout 3. I told my roommates about it and one said "oh yeah, that was me. Sorry, I will stop doing that." However, I think he was seeding or something for a while because yesterday I got over 16 emails just like the first one. I have Google Fiber and I know that they can shut off my internet for it, which would suck. However, could this escalate legally and could I be held responsible in any way? I've never seen so many emails about one game before so I am starting to get nervous.
