I'm using a throwaway because I don't want the people at school finding out and making fun of me. I'm almost 16 if that helps anything?
On the weekend I bought myself a laptop with money (I already use dad's old one but I saved up for years from birthdays and delivering junk mail). I bought it and used cash and I have the receipt.
The other day mom and I got into a fight (lots or yelling) about me wanting to live with my dad, step-mom and half-sister. mom said things like she spent too much money in court to have me live with her so she's not going to let me leave. We yelled alot about it and mom got really angry. She took my laptop and then started smashing it up and then stepped on it, grabbed it and bent it badly.
Yesterday I tried talking to mom about it but she said that she's allowed to do what she wants to with my property as she has "duty of care" or something like that.
I don't know what to do. Is there some way I can force mom to replace my laptop or pay me the money back?
