Early in the morning, I woke up to a loud crash and ran into our living room to see a panicked deer bleeding all over the place. Turns out my neighbor was bow hunting on his property and had shot a deer near the property line. The deer panicked and ran into our back patio window, shattering it. He made it into the house (living room area) and knocked over a few fixtures but nothing major that caused too much damage. The blood ended up on most of our furniture/carpet though. I’ve already called our insurance company so I know the cost for the clean up is covered but I want to sue my neighbor for hunting so close to our property. We both live large, several-acre residential properties. What kind of case would I have and what type of lawyer should I contact?
We live in Georgia
