[PA] roommate that was never on the lease has mail still delivered to our address.

I’m currently living in an apartment with 2 other roommates, all 3 of us are on the lease. Last summer one of our friends came home from basic training with the military and didn’t have anywhere to stay so we let him crash.

A few months go by and he’s still living with us and he had changed his address to our address. Both with the military and the sherif for his carry permit. At which time we asked him to start helping with utilities and paying some rent to us. Unfortunately we had a falling out and he no longer lives with us but he still has his checks from the military and all his mail, insurance, etc sent to our address. We have asked him to remove our address from his things but he has yet to do that. I looked up about how to notify the post office that he no longer lives at this address but I’m not sure if with him living here while not on the lease, I can get in trouble for removing sending the mail back with “return to sender”. I really don’t want to touch the US treasury department checks if I’m not completely sure what I can do.
