Canada -My dad was on a dating site, I believe it was Plenty of Fish. He began to talk with this lady and right away there was warning signs. I tried to convince him that she was a scam but he said he was in love. This lady played mind games with my dad. She would keep him all all night, he told her he was depressed and she just kept egging him on. A while went by and she asked for money so she could come visit. My dad being the hopeless romantic sent her money. Lots of it. Over 20k. She kept promising to visit. It never happened it, it was never going to happen. My dad told her he was going to kill himself, and he did. In his death note he wrote about her. He gave her his last penny. This lady literally killed my dad. I texted her after my dad's death and she agreed to pay me back and since has ghosted me. I just want to know if I can do anything. If she is even traceable? I hate that people scam the lonely elderly. I haven't even been able to process this part of my dad's death until now. I am so angry.
