My wife and I work full time and use a dog walking service. We have a contract with terms of service, we schedule the walks weekly, and we get emails when the walk has been completed. The same person walks (or doesn’t, as it turns out) our dog every day. Over the past few months my wife and I became suspicious that she wasn’t being walked for the full time we pay for, and on some days maybe not at all. I started taking pictures of the leash before leaving, and pictures when I got home. It’s a rope leash that hangs from a hook. Sure enough, the leash looks identical. I couldn’t take it off and hang it up identically if I tried. So I purchased a security camera and started recording. This walker literally is not walking our dog, and saying she is. And being paid for it. I’m furious. To say we love our dog is an understatement. Outside of the financial (theft?), it’s very unhealthy for this breed of dog to be in a kennel for the amount of time she apparently has been each day. I have no idea how long this has been going on for but I suspect it’s been quite a while.
I am not hellbent on legal action, as I don’t believe the owner of the company (it’s a small local service) is aware of the situation. But I want to talk to the owner and present the facts. If the discussion turns to legal proceedings, do I have options and if so, what would they be? Happy to provide more info if needed. Thanks to all
