Thank you for any help in advance. My mom was arrested about two hours ago for her 2nd DUI (opioids/benzos) in 5 years in the state of Kentucky. She has 4 kids, 3 of us are adults. However, I have a 7 year old half-brother. My brothers and I are more than capable of caring for our younger brother but I am worried about what happens to him once she goes before a judge. The 7 year old has a piece of shit dad who isn't in the picture anymore, but will they try to track him down first for custody if she has to stay in jail for an extended period of time? What kind of paperwork do I need to look for to figure out where he goes? I'm almost certain my mom has full custody of him, but I don't know what kind of legal paperwork she has.
To sum up: what do I need to do to make sure my 7 year old brother says with my brothers and me rather than being taken away by CPS. Thank you again.
